The team Espadrillestore launched its original collection of Espadrilles in Montreal three years ago, responding to the obvious demand of the North American market for a European shoe, ecological and handmade.
Our choice of location fell on Montreal, a city that not only offers a window on the American market but also combines a way of life very close to our European roots.
Now that our office is located in North America, our customers contact us directly from around the world and especially from the United States and Canada.
Before our arrival in America, the traditional espadrilles were only available through Internet sites located in France or Spain, which made shipping very expensive and delivery times too long.
Being located in the heart of the American market enables us to offer better rates and to respond very quickly to your requests.

Our espadrilles are entirely handmade in our small village in northern Spain.
This village is called Cervera del Rio Alhama and has 2000 inhabitants. It dates back to 4th century BC, this being the time when Alexander the Great set out to conquer the world and created more specifically the city of Alexandria. If you visit our lovely village, you can still admire the Roman ruins and bridges built in that distant time.
Cervera is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Alcarama along the banks of the river Alhama, and it is topped by a mountain at whose summit you can admire the ruins of a castle built in the 7th century.
The oldestespadrilles found in our area date from the 13th century, and our family, which has been creating espadrilles since 1820, continues to transmit this ancient tradition to the new generations.
The traditional espadrille represents a major source of income for the region and provides stable employment for hundreds of people working at home.
Our European team produces the classic espadrille intended for both men and women, and it also presents each year new models tailored to the requirements of an ever-changing fashion.
