Cervera del Rio Alhama is a municipality in the province of La Rioja , Spain, with a population of 1000 people.
The town dates from 600BC and is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Alcarama, ranking the banks of the river Alhama and about 550 m altitude. It is divided into two districts of "La Peña", atop which are the ruins of a centuries old castle.
